Our Wild Edges

Nature (re)connection and personal rewilding – for you, your community and our planet

Welcome!

I am Becky, and I established my own business because it feels like the best way for me to have a positive impact on people and planet. It was the message I received as my soul’s purpose after a 24-hour solo Vision Quest in Dartmoor.

Our Wild Edges exists to share elements of my practice, so that others can discover their own version of it. Mine revolves around connection. Connection to self, others and the natural world. And also the fundamental principle of using nature as a blueprint for wellness, which can be described as nature (re)connection and personal rewilding. Returning to the fundamental abilities, functions and wisdom of the human animal. Living a little more wild in a modern society, whilst choosing to live near, on or beyond our own personal edges, exploring what that means for us.

Once we step into greater awareness and connection, we are more inclined to make choices that create health, vitality, joy and resilience in our lives.

Why Our Wild Edges?

The wild edge is a lush and fertile place where different habitats meet (think a dense forest butting up against an open path). These spaces are often highly biodiverse. This is where the creation, chaos, evolution, challenge, growth, connection, happens. We too have our wild edges – the point at which our modern lifestyles butt up against the innate wildness within our minds and bodies. That place where we come alive. The unmanicured, unsanitised, messy place of freedom, that sits in stark contrast to today’s norm.

We all have an edge.

I’m here to invite you to get to know it, embrace it, and feel how that brings your life, to life…

Playing with our wild edges – the practices!

I love being outdoors, and living a more wild life – I know how good it makes me feel. More and more science is showing these practices to be valid in our pursuit of wellness. I also care deeply about the natural world and understand that connection to it fosters greater respect and care for it. All of this boils down to my soul purpose of engaging as many people like you as possible in your version of a more wild life, so that you too can feel more happy, healthy, fulfilled, and resilient.

Who I work with

As human animals we have so much untapped capacity within ourselves. My goal is to provide you with the opportunities and the space to step back from everyday life and remember who you really are! I welcome the chance to support anyone keen to explore this.

I also specifically work with:

Individuals living with physical disability and / or chronic health conditions

One to one and group events.

Nature does not discriminate but the challenge of getting outdoors is a reality. Allow me to support you in your goals of wellness, strength and fitness, and nature connection.

Designed to empower and enable you to get outside and reap the benefits.

Corporate teams

Team away days, workshops, regular site-based wellbeing activities and consultancy.

I work with organisations who wish to explore and implement ways to support their employees and colleagues.

Together we address fundamental needs that can be met through nature connection, time outdoors, movement, creativity, workspace set up and more.

Why nature? Why outdoors?

Research proves what we instinctively know: spending time outdoors is tremendously good for us across mental, physical and spiritual planes.

The colours we encounter in blue and green spaces, the scent from trees and plants, the microbiome within soils, the far reaching views and distant horizon, and daylight. Just some of the key elements that trigger a cascade of benefits to our nervous system, immune system, microbiome in the gut and throughout the body, cardiovascular system, circadian rhythm and more. Explore more here.

We are human animals who have co-evolved with the rest of the natural world – it stands to reason that we gain so much from engaging with it as much as possible!
